They threw back the big ones, but still limited out in the “good-eating sized” ones.

The weather has been great for the opener.  It would be helpful though if the wind would die down just alittle – there is almost too much of a “walleye chop”!  Several cabins caught 4 keepers each last night.  The biggest catchs that we have heard of were 27″ and 25″.  It sounds like the weather is going to hold and it should be a beautiful week. You should be here!!

1922 -2012 – 90 years of family fishing & fun! Good weather for this fishing opener, but started out a bit windy. It is good to see everybody again!!

We do have ice on the bay, but no snow on the ground. All of the Christmas lights are up and we are just waiting for the snow to fall and give us that good old white Christmas. This is also a sneak preview of some of the changes that we did in Cabin # 11 this fall.

The deerhunters have come and gone so it is really peaceful around here. What started out as a calm, nice Tuesday morning turned into a blustery, wintery afternoon.

The last of the hardy fall fishermen left the last week end of October. Matt caught 24 northerns that week end – one of which was 35 1/2″ long.

The pictures were taken either on the resort property or in the Chippewa National Forest, which begins about 1/2 mile from the resort.

We have been having the perfect weather to get some Fall projects done. Temperatures hit 80 degrees again. John and Dave reshingled Cabin #11 and we have the entry and the little bedroom torn apart. We put two windows in the entry where there was just screen. Then two new windows, plus new sheetrock and carpeting are going in the little bedroom.
